Admission Ticket ARTIS-Park

Visit ARTIS-Park, the oldest zoo in the Netherlands. Immerse yourself in an oasis of peace right in the heart of the city. Enjoy watching the two baby elephants as they play together in the sand and sometimes even in the water. Imagine yourself in Madagascar at the renewed Kerbert Terrace (the former lion enclosure) and admire how ring-tailed lemurs, red ruffed lemurs, and radiant Madagascar tortoises live together here.

Stroll through the historical city park and discover the monuments, or take a relaxing break in one of the gardens now in full bloom. Check the daily schedule for animal keeper talks, where you can learn more about jaguars, Asian elephants, and other species.

Accessibility

Check Google Maps for exact route directions from your starting point and current departure and travel times. ARTIS has its own parking area. Parking tickets can be purchased at the entrance for €17.50.

Public Transport

• Tram
  Tram 14 and tram 1 stop at the ARTIS/Holocaust Museum stop, just around the corner from the main entrance
• Metro
  The nearest metro station is Waterlooplein. Metros 51, 53, and 54 run from Amsterdam Central Station to here. From the metro station, it’s about a ten-minute walk to the Main Entrance.
• Bus
  From Amsterdam Central, buses 22 and 43 go to Kadijksplein. From there, it's a six-minute walk to the Main Entrance.
