Amsterdam Light Festival canal cruise with live guide

For the fifteenth edition, the city is once again transformed into a setting for light art. Local, national and international artists each bring their own perspective on Amsterdam. There is no fixed story, but rather a conversation with the city that emerges from countless perspectives.

Along the brand-new route through the central-east district, admire 20 unique light artworks near well-known locations such as the Skinny Bridge and the Amstel Locks. Rediscover Amsterdam from the water and with an open mind.

During the cruise, the live guide shares stories about the artworks, artists and ideas presented in the city. The live commentary is available in Dutch and English, making the experience personal and accessible.

German-speaking guests can use the official Amsterdam Light Festival audio tour to discover more about the light artworks and the stories behind them. The festival runs from Thursday 26 November 2026 through Sunday 17 January 2027.
