The story behind the Icebar

The Amsterdam Icebar takes you on an adventure inspired by the legendary Dutch explorer Willem Barentsz. In 1596, he tried to find a new route to Asia, but became trapped in the ice of Novaya Zemlya. Forced to survive in the extreme cold, he and his crew built a shelter from driftwood and snow. The Icebar brings this heroic journey to life with a unique setting and an unforgettable experience.
