Shop till you drop in Oberhausen! We will take you to Westfield Centro, one of Europe’s largest shopping and leisure centres. During the festive season, you will find a huge Christmas market around Centro, with dozens of atmospheric wooden chalets, Christmas decorations, gifts, delicacies and, of course, mulled wine. Had your fill of the Christmas market? Then continue shopping in the large covered shopping centre. Here, you will find hundreds of shops, restaurants and cafés. Ideal for anyone who wants to combine a Christmas market with extensive shopping.

New to our 2026 programme: the Christmas market in Essen! During the festive season, Essen’s city centre transforms into an atmospheric Christmas setting with beautifully illuminated streets, cosy squares and countless Christmas stalls. Essen is known for its combination of a charming German Christmas market and excellent shopping opportunities. Stroll past the stalls, discover special Christmas gifts, enjoy typical German delicacies and, of course, take time for a warm mulled wine.
