More information
Diergaarde Blijdorp is one of the most beautiful zoos in the Netherlands, where you take a journey through various continents and ecosystems. From the impressive Oceanium to the vast savannas and tropical enclosures, you come face-to-face with extraordinary animals everywhere. During a day out, you not only discover how animals live but also learn more about nature conservation and the protection of endangered species. Thanks to the varied areas, educational elements, and pleasant walking routes, Blijdorp is a fun and educational outing for young and old.
Baby boom
At Blijdorp Zoo, the run-up to the warmer months consists of a remarkable baby boom. Numerous young animals have been born recently, including baby giraffe Shaki, zebra foal Tumo, a bongo, a white-headed vulture, a Diana monkey, two Mhorr gazelles, and young bison. The animals are showing themselves outside more and more often and are visibly enjoying the sunny days. The births are not only a delight for visitors but are also of great importance for the conservation of vulnerable species, such as the critically endangered bongo and Mhorr gazelle. With the arrival of the young animals and the recently arrived bull elephant Nuka, Blijdorp underscores its commitment to species conservation and nature restoration.

Blijdorp is leuk. Een mooi onderwaterwereld, mooie dieren, faciliteiten zijn goed en af en toe zie je een trein voorbij gaan. Echt een leuk park en goed bereikbaar met ov.
