Balmy summer evenings, live music and unique encounters with animals: during the ARTIS Zoomer Evenings, you’ll experience the zoo in a whole new way. Every Saturday evening from 11 July to 29 August 2026, ARTIS will stay open extra late, so you can enjoy everything the park has to offer until sunset.

Stroll leisurely past the animals as evening falls, roll out your picnic blanket on the Musik Lawn and enjoy performances from a range of Dutch artists. Alongside live music, there will be something going on every hour. Join a guided tour, discover the Planetarium, experience the impressive 360° show Our Story with Sir David Attenborough, or let kids take part in fun and educational activities.

Foodies will also be satisfied. All around the park, you’ll find various food and drink stands where you can enjoy delicious vegetarian dishes and refreshing drinks. All the while, the atmospheric lighting, the sounds of nature, and the relaxed summer vibe create an evening you won’t soon forget.

Accessibility

Check Google Maps for the exact route from your starting point and for up-to-date travel information. ARTIS has its own parking lot. Parking tickets can be purchased at the counter for €17.50.

Public transport

• Tram
  Tram 14 and tram 1 stop at the ARTIS/Holocaust Museum stop, right around the corner from the main entrance
• Metro
  The nearest metro station is Waterlooplein. Metros 51, 53 and 54 run here from Amsterdam Central Station. It is about a ten-minute walk from the metro station to the main entrance.
• Bus
  From Amsterdam Central Station take buses 22 and 43 to Kadijksplein. From there, it's a six-minute walk to the main entrance.
