On Sunday, July 5, the grounds of Bevrijdende Vleugels transform into a living history book during History Live. This special family event takes visitors on an impressive journey through Dutch history via a unique walking route across the museum park – both indoors and outdoors.

Along the way, you will meet historical characters, discover authentic encampments, and experience different eras up close. From medieval scenes and old crafts to impressive scenes from World War II: history comes to life throughout the site thanks to enthusiastic re-enactors and interactive demonstrations.

History Live is an event for young and old where looking, listening, and experiencing take center stage. Children learn about the past through play, while adults enjoy historical stories, vehicles, and unique settings. The combination of education, entertainment, and experience makes History Live a unique day out for the whole family.
