A Seal Stellendam aims to care for sick, weakened, and orphaned seals and return them to the sea after recovery. At A Seal, you can see seals up close, and the staff will tell you all about the animals and how they help them recover. There's also much more to see and do in the visitor center! Seal Sanctuary A Seal rescues and cares for seals. These are primarily young seal pups that have lost their mothers or seals that are injured or sick. Once the seals are fully healthy again and able to survive in the wild, they are released back into the wild. Before this happens, the seals go through (or rather, swim through) a kind of step-by-step plan:
