The Country & Garden Fair: experience and enjoy in the gardens of Huis Verwolde!

The cosiness of an atmospheric country & garden outdoor fair: come and enjoy and experience during the atmospheric Country & Garden Fair that takes place from 29 May to 1 June on the beautiful Estate of Huis Verwolde in Laren. A wonderful opportunity to gain inspiration in a rural atmosphere and to shop for the spring and summer that is to come. The gardens are green again, plants and flowers are starting to grow and bloom.

Get in the spring mood during the atmospheric Country & Garden Fair! The beautiful leafy surroundings of Huis Verwolde and the Estate in the spring promise many beautiful things. More than 80 exhibitors present themselves in luxury pagoda tents with the best of what they have to offer. Be inspired, come and enjoy and experience and shop wonderfully. From perennials to summer bloomers, from atmospheric antique, brocante and trendy home and garden decorations to art presentations. Gardeners who are happy to provide you with information, plant growers present a gallery of selective plants and flowers... also culinary surprises such as home-made dishes to selective wines but also fashion shows with the latest spring fashion and accessories will not be missing, as well as daily live music and choirs that let you enjoy the various terraces.

Visit Huis Verwolde at the same time as the fair!

The history of Verwolde goes back to the Middle Ages. The current house was built in 1776 in the neoclassical style that was completely new for Gelderland at the time. Six generations of the Van der Borch family lived in the house until 1977. Anyone who loves the series Downton Abbey will immediately fall in love with this place. The house was inhabited by one noble family for two centuries and is fully furnished: from the staff quarters in the lower house to the children's room on the first floor. Much of the original neoclassical interior has been preserved and all rooms are furnished in a historical style, from the service quarters in the lower house to the living and reception rooms on the first floor. The house is the centrepiece of a beautiful estate and is surrounded by a park with a pinetum (conifer garden), lawns, colourful flower borders, forest and a pond.

 Throw off your heels and put on comfy shoes! Prepare for a fun outdoor event. Stroll around the fair and walk through the beautiful garden of Huis Verwolde. The fair takes place partly on paved terrain but also on the grass of the estate and forest paths. Dogs are welcome at the fair, provided they are kept on a leash.
