No sushi, but authentic Japanese street food such as Takoyaki, karaage, Gyoza and yaki soba. Korean street food is also available, including Korean fried chicken. All available at the Japanese market at Gietijzer – Utrecht. Can't get used to Asian flavours? Chips & snacks are also available for you (and the children)! 

Japanese market

After all those delicious treats at the food stalls, there is still plenty to discover! Browse stalls packed with Japanese merchandise, dive into contemporary Japanese pop culture or play a game in the gaming area. This food edition is mainly all about delicious food, so the non-food selection is somewhat smaller.

Karaoke and traditional entertainment

There is plenty to experience beyond the food market too. For young and old alike, there will be a traditional Japanese storyteller, alternating with demonstrations of traditional Japanese samurai techniques. Want to grab the microphone yourself? Then join our karaoke!

Kids' zone

There is plenty of entertainment for children too. Get your face painted, have fun on the bouncy castle, discover the mini rides or enjoy some gaming. Plenty to do for young and not-so-young alike!

Travelling by public transport? From Utrecht-Vleuten Station, it is approximately a 5-minute walk. Coming by car? Parking is available in several car parks around Gietijzer.
