Ready, set, snow: time to warm up together at Madurodam!
Fancy a fun winter outing? At Madurodam, you fly, sail, spin and discover: a day full of fun and adventure. As temperatures drop, Madurodam shines in a wintry atmosphere. Admire the Netherlands’ largest Christmas village, the wintry miniatures that come to life and stroll among thousands of sparkling lights. And of course, discover the very best and most beautiful of the Netherlands in our gi-ga giant attractions, fun activities and coolest playgrounds.
Even when it’s cold outside, you’ll enjoy a complete winter’s day full of adventure together at Madurodam. Ready to go?
Indoors, everything is in full swing
At Madurodam, everything runs at full speed all winter long. Step into De Windjager and experience a whirlwind adventure all about the power of wind. Everything spins, whirs and moves as you learn how the Netherlands has cleverly harnessed wind for centuries. Before you know it, you’ll head home a little wiser!
Then brave the high waves and sail to New Amsterdam. Fly over the Netherlands together in The Flying Dutchman and be amazed by the view from above. Or join forces at De Waterwolf and set the world’s largest steam engine in motion together to save the land from the water!
Your adventure continues along hidden paths: climb and scramble through colourful paintings in De Hollandse Meesters. You’ll race from one wonder to the next; time flies indoors.
Wrap up warm and enjoy winter fun outdoors!
The snow must go on! 😉 Wrap your scarf tightly around you and put on your gloves: that’s how you get ready for exciting outdoor adventures. Operate the locks as if you’ve been standing on the quay for years and load containers in the Port of Rotterdam. Putting out a fire at sea? You can do it like no other! And the wind turbines need an extra pair of hands: make them spin, spin, spin. Which one of you will generate the most wind energy?
And just look: DJ Armin van Buuren is joining in this winter too! Step behind the decks and mix your own winter hit. Mariah Carey, move over!
The Netherlands in a wintry atmosphere
The miniature Netherlands is also getting ready for winter. Lights twinkle everywhere behind the windows of the mini houses and our Madurodam residents are busy doing their Christmas shopping. Dam Square shines in the Christmas lights, the canals are frozen over and look: the Eleven Cities Tour is starting in Friesland! Iet giet oan! Who would have thought it!
Experience winter at Madurodam
After a day full of adventures, it’s time to warm up with a hot chocolate or spend a moment together by one of the crackling fires. Look back together on everything you’ve experienced. Or will you go for one last ride in De Windjager? Whatever you choose: experience winter at Madurodam. See you soon?
