The charm of an English outdoor fair: from 6 to 8 September, the third edition of ‘British Weekend’ will take place in and around the enchanting Vorden Castle in Vorden. Are you also in love with the atmosphere and lifestyle of the English countryside? Do you share a passion for England, Scotland, Wales and England? At the British Weekend outdoor fair, you can indulge your passion for unique and traditional items, from antiques to vintage. Fancy experiencing a day in England too? Then British Weekend is a wonderful opportunity to find inspiration and shop in a rural atmosphere during the delightful late summer!

Think English lifestyle and browse a wide selection of brocante, vintage, collectibles and modern items. At the British Weekend outdoor fair, you can truly indulge yourself. Keywords for the products presented by exhibitors include English antiques and porcelain, glass and silverware, plaids, kilts & country items, pottery & floral decorations and interior decorations. Naturally, there will be plenty of attention for homemade treats, often with English roots. Artisanal pies, cake & fudge, as well as sandwiches and scones with clotted cream… Easy to take home and enjoy later, or simply sample on the spot at one of the cosy terraces with live music. But there is more, including for the gentleman: Beautiful cars are simply made to be admired, and this year once again features the delightful car rally, with the start and finish on the estate! Of course, stylish fashion must not be forgotten either, including a fashion show! As well as outdoor clothing with classics such as wax jackets, hats and outdoor boots. 

Supporting programme: 
During British Weekend, there is an extensive supporting programme; from birds of prey demonstrations to hunting dog training workshops. From riding horses side-saddle to traditional horse-drawn carriages. We are also delighted to once again count on the participation of two Pipes & Drums Bands, which will be performing on Saturday and Sunday. You can also take part in a bagpipe-playing workshop during the fair itself! Owner Karin de Rouw warmly welcomes British Weekend visitors to her 12th-century castle. ‘As the owner, it has been my home since 2005, and I hope that some of its special charm will intrigue you as much as it does me.  Wander through our atmospherically and authentically furnished rooms, secret corridors, towers, vaulted cellars and gardens. Admire the beautiful antique furniture, paintings, statues, wood carvings, porcelain, etc. from the 15th to 19th centuries. Fresh flowers and plant decorations complete the charming, homely atmosphere. To visit the fair including admission to the Castle, book a combination ticket.
