Train rides & miniature world

A popular highlight is the miniature railway with a track length of no less than 3.5 km – the largest miniature railway company in the Netherlands. Hop on a nostalgic train and enjoy a tour of the estate with the kids. Petting Zoo At the petting zoo at Park Nienoord, it's always a fun and lively place to be. Come pet the rabbits in the petting zoo, milk cows and goats like a real farmer, search for truffles like pigs, feed them with the farmer, and play the chicken-and-egg game! Here you'll find goats, sheep, donkeys, cows, pigs, chickens, peacocks, rabbits, and other animals. The animals are exposed to humans from a young age, making them very tame and easy to handle. Want to feed the animals? You can buy a cup of food for €0.50 at the park ticket office. You can also bring your own bread to give to the animals. Check the daily program for the "Feeding with the Farmer" activity. New: Indoor Play Hall Play in the new 1400 m² indoor play hall! Featuring a large monkey cage, Ninja Challenge, trampolines, and a go-kart track. Our food and beverage area is also open for drinks, snacks, or a treat with coffee. The petting zoo is open and, depending on the weather conditions, it is possible to play outside on several playground equipments. Put on your socks, let's play! Open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and during the holidays from 10am to 5pm. Accessibility The Nienoord estate is located in the Groningen municipality of Leek.
