From November 14th, the famous Velvet Cave Christmas Market in Valkenburg will open its doors for the 26th time. Step into the enchanting atmosphere of Christmas Town Valkenburg. You'll begin in the charming outdoor square and then descend into the ancient cave, home to the largest indoor Christmas event in the Netherlands. The Christmas market is internationally renowned and is filled with charming stalls displaying Christmas decorations, unique gifts, and winter treats. As you follow the route, you'll be surrounded by twinkling lights, festive decorations, and the magic of the cave. A visit to Valkenburg during the Christmas season isn't complete without this unique experience, considered by many to be the most beautiful Christmas market in the Netherlands. Accessibility MergelRijk and the Christmas Market in the Velvet Cave in Valkenburg are practically next door to each other. The distance is approximately 600 meters (a 1-minute drive and a 6- to 7-minute walk).
